Checking In On 7 Days to Die In 2025
With a few regions respawning and some dungeons, I have left to run. I make one final return to Might and Magic VII to finish things off. I already beat the game but I just can’t leave some dungeons unfished now, can I? Nope!
Before heading off to run some dungeons. I did some leveling up with trainers. I had another five or so levels. My bags were also yet again full. Not like I'd be needing the gold at this point from selling things since I had almost half a million gold between what was in the bank on me.
It was then time to run some dungeons. I ended up clearing out some dungeons I've done in the past. It seems quite a lot of the game had respawned since I had beat things. I don’t know if a bunch of time had passed by or what the deal was. Not every region was reset either.
I’ll just chalk it up to the game wanting me to go out with a banger of dungeon runs. I was hoping to find some further artifacts but for the most part, there was no luck on that end by running any dungeons I had cleared in the past.
After clearing a few old ones, it was time for something I'd attempted in the past but was never able to clear. One such dungeon was Titan’s Stronghold in Avlee. It just so happened that Alvee had fully respawned. So, I cast flight and went around pew pewing with my laser guns everything that moved. This also ended up being an effective way of clearing all the elementals around the castle dungeon I wanted to raid anyway.
The Titan’s Stronghold has been one place I've attempted a few times over. The issue is the Titans inside would keep one-shotting my characters. Making it quite hard to clear in the past. As they have massive health as well, I could not just pick one off at a time as I'd do in harder-to-clear areas.
This dungeon had a few long and massive hallways connecting to larger areas of the dungeon. Before I had laser weapons that was still not enough to just have enough space to kite things around if needed. Even if I was just ducking behind a corner. Once my healer got killed, I'd have to run back to town to revive them.
This time around however I could take the damage they dealt. They also did not take long to face any titan let alone the few dragons that were guarding this place. It was even better every that my damage output seemed to stagger a little bit anything, it hit.
I first attempted to clear the dungeon to the left. It however seemed like that side of the dungeon went on for quite a way. So, after killing a few titans, I checked the right side of the dungeon instead.
I was rather thrilled to see it only had a couple of rooms to clear before I hit a dead end. I then went through a central room that was connected to three other areas. It had a few titans in there for me to deal with but I had already sniped off a few that wandered out while I was checking out the left side of the dungeon when I first started.
One of the reasons I even attempted this place so many times before was over a quest to bring back the perfect bow. While I ended up looting it in one of the chests I found. I did not care too much about turning it in as I was more or less done with the game. It was kind of silly such a quest was so hard that I did not finish it before beating the game first.
There were also a few rooms with some dragons. They mostly dropped things like rings to plate armor. Everything in this dungeon seemed to have some rather nice stats on them. So, I took a moment and swapped out some lower stat rings for the ones I ended up looting out of this dungeon.
It was then time to hit up the Land Of Giants to clear out the dragon caves I had been saving for now. I got quite a nasty shock when I used the special teleporter, I had in Harmondale to get to the Land of Giants. It seems everything despite me just clearing it days ago was fully spawned again.
Nothing like feeling like you are invincible to nearly getting killed. Well since I had already cleared out so many regions once again. I decided to have some fun and kill lots of dragons and titans that were back up in this region as well.
This time I did not have to pick one or two of them off at a time. I flat-out flew into massive packs of dragons and titans. Melting their faces off with my laser guns. It was quite clear these weapons and getting a few more levels made me quite overpowered.
Oddly enough my healer did end up getting killed one final time in this game. I ended up teleporting back to a town to heal her up. I also had enough of not having Lloyd’s beacon spell that would allow me to teleport back from the spot where I dropped the beacon. Sure, enough after exploring a while for it I found a spell vendor that had the spell for sale.
I rather liked that in Might and Magic World of Xeen, I was able to get the town teleport and Lloyd’s beacon spell combo early enough that I got to enjoy it. Getting that combo so late in Might and Magic VII made it so I only got a couple of uses out of it. It would have been such a time saver and made the game a bit more enjoyable if I had it a lot sooner than the late game. Well after I had beaten the game.
Once I had the region cleared out I hit the dragon caves. For the most part, they each had one giant chamber with a large gathering of dragons in them. One of them had a special dragon in it named Mega-Dragon. He took maybe an extra ten seconds to be killed.
I ended up looting in the dragon caves an item called Hermes’ Sandals. They had 100 speed, 50 accuracy, and 50 air resistance. Along with providing things like mana live regeneration and feather falling. Now that is the kind of OP item I was looking to acquire. While they did not say artifact on them they had a value of 30k gold.
While I had a blast in this one this is my final post on Might and Magic VII. Sure, I have a couple of unfinished quests but I'm happy with the progress I made. I mostly wanted to run all the normal dungeons in the game and I have now done that.
While there were some things like Arcomage (collective card game), and Alchemy that I had intended to further explore. When it came down to it I just could not be bothered to make potions. While I did play a couple of hands of Arcomage I just did not have any interest in learning that mini-game. It did look more involved than many modern-day collective card games. I just did not care enough to go around to each of the game’s taverns to win a game in every single one of them.
So far World of Xeen is the Might and Magic game I feel I've enjoyed the most. Even more than dare I say Might and Magic VI which I enjoyed from my childhood. As far as playing the remaining ones goes. I’ll have to think about it. It also will depend if I can get them to work as well.
