Eve Online | Cosmos Amarr Missions Part 1

Amarr Cosmos.jpg

Amarr Cosmos missions are a bit all over the place. Quite a few of the missions require you to have completed another mission or acquired a key along the way. Thankfully, after some trial and error on my end, I found a path forward.

Unlike the past, where I provided a nice, long list of stuff you can get beforehand. It’s going to be only a couple of items. While there are quite a few items you can farm before getting certain missions, those items are locked away by needing keys to gain access to them.

Another big thing to notice is you can’t just go out and do level 1 missions, then level 2, and so on. Some of the lower-level missions are more like side missions, while others simply require items from finishing higher-level ones. Requiring a little more than just one ship runs everything.

While I did run most sites in a T3 Destroyer. It seems like a lot of the time, a battlecruiser would have just been fine. As such, I'd use any excess to use a harbinger, so that ended up being my go-to occasionally. A ship with 600 cargo 600-cargo-hold was also sometimes needed. Finally, a relic analyzer to swap in for one of the missions.

A couple of items that can be farmed beforehand for the first couple of missions:

  • 2x Dynasty Rings

  • 14x Manel’s Servants

  • 50x Amarr Light Marines

You will also need up to an Amarr Empire standing of 4 to 6. That is quite a bit higher than the starting point with the Caldari. There are just not enough missions to boost it high enough that they don’t require you to finish higher-level missions first. So, this, in a way, can be a bit of a bottleneck to get into.

Farming Materials Ahead Of Time

Since you can’t farm everything right away with some areas require a key card to get into. There are only a couple of things to grab. Some of them are a bit strange. One of them even requires zero combat to get.

Kador Military Outpost.jpg

An easy item to acquire is 50 Amarr Light Marines in Chanoun. All you need is something fast with 100 m3 cargo space to hold them. I ended up just using my Confessor. Now here comes the odd part. Only head to each of the gates in the Kador Military Outpost complex and do not wander off.

That might sound odd. Despite how close it might seem, some of the navy guarding this complex is. If you are not attacking them or getting too close. They leave you alone.

Kador Military Outpost complex has five pockets with the 100 Amarr Light Marines at the end between two containers. You might as well grab the extra in case you ever want to run an alt, though, these at some point.

Manels Servants.jpg

While also in Chanoun, warp to the Lord Mane’s Mansion beacon. At the landing area, you will see a Stranded Personnel Transport. It has 14 Manel’s Servants inside it that you will be needing later.

rats in araz region.jpg

In the Araz region, by farming Warrior rats in the asteroid belts. You can get the 2 Dynasty Rings you need. They also drop the Encoding Matrix, which requires 10 are needed but that won’t be something I'll be covering today. They are easy to kill, so the combat ship works.

Nossa Farad

Nossa Farad.jpg

Found in the Chanoun system at the Governor’s Audience Chamber beacon. There are a couple of missions that depend on you at least working on this mission chain before you can unlock further ones. Make sure to bring with you 50 Amarr Light Marines and 14 Mane’s Servants.

With her giving out level 3 missions, you could go either way with just using something like a T3 Destroyer or a battlecruiser. She has a couple of killing missions where you will be facing up to battlecruisers.

Nossa Farad First mission.jpg

The first kill mission is a rather simple one. Just eight targets, and they all get aggression at the same time. Snipe down the frigates first to avoid getting scrammed.

Nossa Farad second mission.jpg

Her second kill mission can get a bit annoying, like with a few of the Amarr kill missions. Some of them have a timer between spawns. I ended up waiting over half an hour before the Strain Matriarch Drone spawned solo so I could kill it and finish the mission.

The good news is that you at least have some decent time to clear out the pocket before the Matriarch arrives. Each of the four groups clustered together can be pulled separate from each other.

Nossa Farad third mission.jpg

Nossa Farad's third and final kill mission has five waves. There is a five-minute timer between each wave. Since I had decent DPS for this, it felt like it took forever for each wave. With a decent amount of waiting around.

At least the good news is she gives out quite a few BPCs during this mission chain. Making it quite a nice NPC to run early on. With any luck, you get something massive.

Nossa Farad fourth mission.jpg

Now, with all the killing out of the way. The fourth mission lets you turn in those 50 Amarr Light Marines you have had in your cargo for a while now. Hopefully, there was enough oxygen in there since they had to wait a while to be used.

The final mission, you are just turning in the 14 Mane’s Servants you have already acquired as well. In return, you get Nossa Farad’s Voucher, which will be needed in a bit. This also tends to be a returning theme for a few of these missions, of you needing items to move forward from one NPC to the next.

Odan Poun Part 1

Odan Poun.jpg

Now that you have Nossa Farad’s Voucher in your cargo hold, you can speak with Odan Poun, who is right next to her in Chanoun system at the Governor’s Audience Chamber beacon. For doing so, you get Odan Poun’s Message that you will be needing next.

Now that just seemed too easy, did in not? Well, it was. For the next part, you need to acquire Ader’s Message from Ader Finn. So, hold off on starting that mission till you have done so.

Ader Finn

ader finn.jpg

You would think that with Ader giving level 1 missions, he would have been someone you got to interact with a lot sooner. You can find him in the Munory system at the third moon on the fifth planet. Now that you have Odan Poun’s Message, you can start his rather short and quick mission chain.

Ader FInn second mission.jpg

His second mission is just a courier one. The item itself is just 0.1 m3 and was only three jumps out.

While Ader Finn is not that rewarding at all. You were just after getting Ader’s Message that you will be needing later on. A little faction standing boost is nice as well, but not a very helpful moment when you already needed such a high standing to even get to this point.

Odan Poun Part 2

Odan Poun second mission.jpg

Now that you have Ader’s Message, you can return to Odan Poun in the Chanoun system at the Governor’s Audience Chamber beacon. Since his combat missions are a bit heavier-handed handed I ended up using a battlecruiser. While they could still have been done in a T3 Destroyer, having more damage was a nice thing.

Odan Poun third mission.jpg

Odan Poun’s third mission involves combat in three pockets. There are a few battlecruisers in the first two pockets. With a battleship, you need to take out in the third. There are also some cap neutralizers like the Corpum Priest and Sage to keep an eye out for.

You can at least in the first pocket pull each of the four different groups independently of each other. In the smaller groups, they were not much for a Harbinger. While a smaller ship could have been used. It would have taken a bit longer.

The second pocket had only a couple of frigates that were easy to snipe. The Sentry, you don’t need to kill it, and can just jump into the final room.

final room.jpg

The final room has the Kardour Maxten battleship you need to kill. Along with three frigate guards. They are quite a distance away, so you will need to close the range. As long as you are using an afterburner and don’t fly directly at the battleship, you will be fine. Once you are under 10km, you can just orbit. The battleship landed very few shots on me at all the entire time.

Odan Poun fourth mission.jpg

The fourth mission is a simple courier one, where you need to haul an item that is 0.1 m3, not that far out. You end up getting the Key to Lord Mane’s Mansion, which you will be needing later.

Final Thoughts

final.jpg

For the fifth and final mission for Odan Poun, you need Lord Manel’s Message, so do not accept it for now. Yet another roadblock! Just wait, it gets even worse! You can’t talk with Manel until you have run some missions for Bartezo Maphante. Oh, the names some of the NPCS have in Eve Online can be quite funny at times.

What a climax to leave you on till the next part of my Amarr Cosmos series comes out. It, however, won’t be as bad as it was for me wanting to finish off my mission with Odan Poun. As I had quite an amazing BPC waiting for me and the game put it just out of my reach for a short amount of time.
